Comprehensive Training
Our team members complete CPR and First Aid certification plus annual RCTC training before they work independently in a member’s home. Coursework covers the personal care worker’s role on the health care team, nutrition and diet support, bathing and skin care, and safe activity and exercise. Every module ends with a competency check so staff stay current, in scope, and ready to deliver safe, professional care.

Get Scheduled
Obtain final clearance from AHHCS before being scheduled to provide services to a member.Â
Complete Requirements
Provide current CPR and First Aid certification.
Complete a tuberculosis (TB) screening and submit results to Human Resources prior to first client assignment. A negative result or documented clearance is required.
In-office Appointment
Schedule and complete an office visit with Human Resources to review the AHHCS policies and procedures Handbook, sign required acknowledgements, and complete all remaining employment documentation.
Complete RCTC Trainings
Successfully complete the five assigned online trainings courses via RCTCLearn.net and provide certificates of completion to the agency.
Application
Complete the AHHCS employment application and successfully pass the written competency examination with a score of at least 80%.
